The healing touch of Reflexology.

Reflexoloxy is defined as "a science that deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that relate to organs, glands and parts of the body, it is a way of using the thumbs and fingers on these reflexes".

Reflexology has been in use in one form or another for thousands of years. Examples of the treatment being practiced have been found in the wall paintings of tombs in Ancient Egypt and statues of Buddha have been discovered with detailed symbols on the soles of the feet relating to organs in the body.

Modern reflexology owes itself to the tireless work of Eunice Ingham -'the Mother of Modern Reflexology'. It was Eunice Ingham who created the first 'map of the feet', a comprehensive study of the relationship between reflex areas on the feet and organs and systems within the body, that is still used by Reflexologists today. She devoted her life to developing and refining the techniques to stimulate these areas and therefore help people.

Reflexology is often used for many conditions including stress and anxiety related conditions, blood sugar disorders, muscular and joint pain, hormonal problems, circulatory problems, sleep disorders. And also for general relaxation.
